The large surface area continues to stabilize the airflow while protecting the rider’s arm from the wind. The carbon brake levers are aligned horizontally to more efficiently allow air to slip past them, while our “lower support wing” adds the ultimate in wing-bar stiffness for hill climbing. For the times when you don’t want a full one piece front aero bar, Blackwell Research has created the ultimate clip-on aero bar. Created with full carbon and designed in the wind tunnel, the Performer SS clip-on aero bar combines amazing performance with comfort and ease of use. The patented “ wrist relief “ extensions are the same used in the Concord one piece aero bar. We then added our patented “multi size tendon relief elbow pads” and carbon holders, which allows for complete personalization of elbow pad roll angle, placement, and width, as well as, forearm angle, extension angle and extension length.

The Performer Alloy Clip-on Aero Bar offers all the comfort and ease of use as our Performer Clip-on Carbon Aero Bar; it simply uses alloy extensions and base plates instead of carbon fiber. Our patented “wrist relief” extensions will get your hands and wrists in an ergonomically friendly position, eliminating hard wrist bends. The patented “multi-fit tendon relief” pads offer you better bike control by cupping your arm without causing tendon pressure in the “tennis elbow” area. These bars are completely adjustable for custom length, width and angle while being durable and lightweight. The performer series offers great value and the comfort that allows for blazing speed.

Carbon Base Bar

Blackwell Research has done it again by offering the latest in base bar technology. Full composite bar measuring 42cm ctr-ctr and is 15.5mm thick. The Carbon Base Bar boasts a multi-shaped wing section for improved ergonomics, strength, and increased aerodynamics. For stiffness and ultimate weight savings, we used a 31.8 center section for the stem bringing the weight down to only 222g! Full internal cable routing and fits standard brake levers.
